back at last

woo finally back in the heart of zion(well as close as i cant get at the moment). 4 days in a field with one of the younger sisters, who i somehow managed to become their unofficial caring sister... it was great fun apart from the winging about walking, i cant cook so really vile pasta for dinner, being 'beaten up' cos it was 'fun' by my tent-sharer, having torrential down pours for 2/3 days, our neighbours being cowpats and the closest living things cows(i booked the campsite i was trying to avoid by mistake-durr), forgot the coffee and when i bought some from a shop, it wasnt used, oh yeh n lots of flies and slugs. i ended up doing what you arent meant to and did the cooking in the tent cos it was so windy. oh and a major disaster in putting the tent up! it never did go up properly. we put 2 tent poles in for the main bit then had to switch them cos they didnt fit, then tried putting the 3rd in for the porch and realised it was the wrong one, so took it and the short one out and swopped them, then discovered that the 2 in the main bit were the wrong way round, but it was pouring down with rain so we just left it, shoved everything under it and put up the inner. woo for camping! some how suggestions for next year came out-theres going to be one next year?!?!?!??!
the good points: while it was raining, we read the bible; finished knock knock booklet; excercise(the toilet and sink were accross the field, down the road up the steps and round the corner from where we were, plus the 12 miles getting around...); sleep; singing at the busstop on the way back; cheese sandwiches and bacon sarnies.
oh yeh, we only managed to find one shop in the entire of bakewell that has spiders!
